fairy tale meme; [1/2] countries of origin | Ireland

Irish fairy tales and folklore are predominately drawn from what ancient Celtic mythology survived the Christianization of Ireland, mostly in the form of medieval literature. Some stories come from one or more of of the four cycles, the Mythological, Ulster, Fenian, and Historical Cycles, or else feature characters which come from them. One of the most famous modern collections is James Stephens’ Irish Fairy Tales, most of which deals with characters from the Fenian Cycle. [x] [x]
